Sheikh Mohammed Praises Bahrain's Enduring Ties: A Shared Destiny and Everlasting Affection
Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Bahraini people on their National Day celebrations. The message highlights the close ties between the two Gulf nations and reflects the ongoing diplomatic bonds within the region.
Sheikh Mohammed, who serves as UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister, posted his congratulations on X (formerly Twitter). He wished Bahrain continued security, prosperity, and progress for its people.
"We congratulate my brother King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the brotherly people of Bahrain on celebrating their glorious National Day," Sheikh Mohammed wrote. "We ask God to grant Bahrain continued security, safety, and prosperity, and to grant its people further progress and flourishing."
The Dubai leader ended his message with particularly warm words about the relationship between the two countries. "Bahrain remains the heart and eye... with lasting love and shared destiny, God willing," he said.
This kind of public diplomatic messaging is common among Gulf Cooperation Council members, especially during national celebrations. The UAE and Bahrain have strengthened their partnership in recent years across trade, security, and regional policy coordination. Both countries have also aligned closely on foreign policy initiatives, including normalizing relations with Israel through the Abraham Accords in 2020.
Bahrain's National Day marks the country's independence and the establishment of the modern Bahraini state. The celebration typically includes official ceremonies and public events across the kingdom.
