Abu Dhabi Housing Authority Launches "Expression of Interest" Service
Abu Dhabi Housing Authority launched a new "Expression of Interest" service through its mobile app, allowing eligible citizens to browse housing projects and reserve their preferred homes directly on a map. The service starts in Al Ain before expanding to Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra regions.
The new digital service lets qualified citizens explore available residential projects and pick the ones that work best for them. They can select their preferred housing unit and book it using an interactive map feature within the Abu Dhabi Housing app.
This rollout follows a phased approach. Al Ain gets access first, with Abu Dhabi city and the Al Dhafra region coming next. The staggered launch likely helps the housing authority manage demand and test the system before full deployment across the emirate.
The move reflects Abu Dhabi's push to digitize government services and make housing allocation more transparent for citizens. Instead of traditional paper-based applications, residents can now browse options and express interest through their phones.
For the housing market, this creates a clearer picture of citizen preferences and demand patterns. The mapping feature gives both applicants and authorities better visibility into which areas and project types are most popular, potentially informing future development decisions.
