UAE Vice President Congratulates Saudi Arabia on National Day, Prays for Kingdom's Continued Prosperity
Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated Saudi Arabia on its 95th National Day, highlighting the strong bonds between the two Gulf nations. His message on social media emphasized brotherhood and shared celebrations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE posted his congratulations on X, addressing both Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman directly. "We congratulate my brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and my brother His Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly Saudi people on their 95th National Day," he wrote.
Sheikh Mohammed's message went beyond formal diplomatic courtesy. He spoke about the personal connection between the nations, saying "Brotherhood and love unite us, and joy in their glorious days." He concluded with prayers for Saudi Arabia's continued strength, stability, and prosperity.
This public display of support reflects the close relationship between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, two of the Gulf's most influential economies. Both countries have been working together on major regional initiatives, from economic diversification projects to diplomatic coordination across the Middle East.
The timing comes as Saudi Arabia marks nearly a century since the kingdom's founding in 1932. The National Day celebrations have become increasingly significant as the country pushes forward with its Vision 2030 reform program, aimed at reducing oil dependence and modernizing the economy.
