UAE Strongly Condemns Attack on Michigan Church, Calls for Unity Against Extremism
The UAE has strongly condemned an attack on a church in Michigan that killed and wounded several innocent people. The foreign ministry called it a criminal act and expressed condolences to victims' families and the US government.
In an official statement, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country "strongly denounces these criminal acts" and maintains its "permanent rejection of all forms of violence targeting innocent people."
The ministry offered its "sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the victims, and to the government and people of the friendly United States" following what it called this "heinous attack." Officials also wished for the swift recovery of those injured.
The statement reflects the UAE's consistent diplomatic approach of condemning violence against civilians worldwide. The country has regularly spoken out against attacks on religious sites and civilian targets, positioning itself as a voice for tolerance in the Middle East.
This response follows a pattern of UAE statements supporting US interests and condemning violence against religious communities. The two countries have strengthened ties in recent years through defense partnerships and economic cooperation.
