UAE's Vice President Outlines Vision: Guided by Crown Prince, Prioritizing National Interests
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, attended the country's annual government meetings in Abu Dhabi this week. More than 500 government leaders and officials gathered for the two-day event focused on speeding up national priorities and strengthening the UAE's position in future sectors.
The Dubai ruler emphasized the collaborative spirit driving the meetings. "We work with the spirit of unity, and with the guidance of my brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, towards achieving our national priorities and accelerating their completion," he said. "Our national teams work in harmony and dedication to enhance the UAE's leadership in all sectors."
The meetings featured several key ceremonies and initiatives. Sheikh Mohammed attended the awards ceremony for the second edition of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Award, recognizing achievements in AI development. He also witnessed the presentation of the UAE Medal for Culture and Creativity, highlighting the country's commitment to cultural advancement.
A dialogue session with Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, showcased the emirate's vision for human development and comprehensive growth. This reflects the UAE's federal structure where each emirate contributes its unique perspective to national development.
Two exhibitions captured attention during the meetings. The "Our National Identity: Heritage and Trust" exhibition displayed national achievements and cultural heritage, giving government entities a platform to showcase their work. Meanwhile, the "Pulse of the Nation" exhibition used interactive activities to build deeper awareness of challenges facing Emirati families.
These annual meetings serve as the UAE's largest national gathering of work teams and leadership. They come at a time when the country is positioning itself for future economic sectors while maintaining its regional influence. The focus on AI awards and cultural initiatives shows how the UAE balances technological advancement with preserving its identity.
For investors and regional observers, such high-level coordination meetings signal the UAE's systematic approach to long-term planning. The emphasis on "future sectors" and "national priorities" suggests continued government investment in emerging technologies and strategic industries.
