UAE Leaders Express Condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Over the Passing of Khalid bin Mohammed
Five UAE rulers have sent condolence messages to Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz following the death of Prince Khalid bin Mohammed bin Turki bin Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al Saud. The coordinated response highlights the close diplomatic ties between the two Gulf nations and follows established protocols for royal mourning across the region.
The rulers of Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah all expressed their sincere condolences to King Salman. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla of Umm Al Quwain, and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah each sent separate telegrams to the Saudi monarch.
Crown princes and deputy rulers from these emirates also sent similar condolence messages, showing the depth of official mourning across UAE leadership levels.
This formal exchange of condolences reflects the strong diplomatic relationship between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, two key members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Such gestures are standard practice when royal family members pass away in the region, but they also serve to reinforce political alliances and mutual respect between ruling families.
The coordinated response from multiple UAE rulers demonstrates the importance both countries place on maintaining close ties, especially given their shared interests in regional security, economic cooperation, and energy markets.
