The mixed team event saw Rakan Youssef and Aziz Al Hammadi claim silver medals as well.
Sarah Al Junaibi made history in esports, winning bronze in electronic football after beating Thailand's Thamafong Viengseela 3-2. Her medal reflects the UAE's investment in digital sports and the growing recognition of esports in major international competitions.
The track and field team delivered the most dramatic moment with a relay gold medal. The quartet of Aisha Mohammed, Arwa Ali, Layla Ahmed, and Azza Nasser posted a time of 2:07.79, beating India by just 1.86 seconds. India took silver with 2:09.65, while China claimed bronze at 2:10.14.
The games feature over 5,000 athletes from 45 countries, with the UAE fielding teams across 19 different sports. China dominates the overall medal table with 68 medals including 34 golds, followed by Uzbekistan with 28 medals and 14 golds.
The UAE's medal haul of five golds, four silvers, and three bronzes represents a significant achievement for a relatively small nation competing against regional powerhouses.
