Mohammed bin Zayed University Hosts the 3rd Edition of the Innovative 'MYLES' Initiative
The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence hosted the third edition of the "Miles" initiative, bringing together young Emiratis and senior leaders to shape the future of AI in the UAE. The session focused on "A New Investment Perspective: Return on Innovation," highlighting how artificial intelligence is reshaping Abu Dhabi's business landscape and startup ecosystem.
The event brought together prominent figures from government, business, and startup sectors in Abu Dhabi. Participants discussed how AI is changing work environments, supporting new companies, and strengthening the UAE's innovation ecosystem.
Rawda Al Mereikhi, Director of Communications and Partnerships at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, explained the shift in how AI is viewed. "AI is no longer just a tool, but has become a strategic partner that enhances human capabilities, accelerates solutions, and pushes the boundaries of innovation," she said.
The Miles initiative launched alongside the UAE's Year of Community, creating a platform that connects innovation leaders across Abu Dhabi. This approach aims to build partnerships that strengthen the UAE's position as a global AI hub.
Several key organizations presented their AI integration efforts during the session. Representatives from Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Hub71 platform, Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry showcased how they're incorporating AI into initiatives that reinforce Abu Dhabi's role as a global innovation center.
The discussion also covered practical challenges facing startups. Experts from Edulga platform, Hub71, and Middle East Investment Partners examined how access to capital, talent, and collaboration enables emerging companies to thrive. The university played a key role in guiding these conversations about startup growth and development.
This initiative reflects the UAE's broader strategy to position itself at the forefront of AI development. By connecting established leaders with younger innovators, the program creates opportunities for knowledge transfer and partnership building that could accelerate the country's AI ambitions.
