Luxurious Accommodations for African Cup of Nations Teams
Morocco is making history with the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament. For the first time ever, each of the 24 national teams will get their own private hotel and training facility when the tournament kicks off on December 21st. This marks a complete shift from past tournaments where teams had to share accommodations.
The days of multiple teams staying in the same hotels are over. Each squad will now have its own dedicated headquarters, giving them the space they need to focus and prepare without distractions. Tournament organizers have set up 24 separate accommodations across Morocco - one for each qualified team.
Every setup includes a five-star hotel reserved exclusively for one national team, plus a nearby training center. This gives each squad complete privacy and control over their environment during the competition.
This change reflects how seriously Morocco is taking its hosting duties. The country is clearly trying to set a new standard for African football tournaments. Better facilities and more privacy could lead to higher quality matches, as teams won't have to deal with the usual distractions that come with shared spaces.
The move also shows how much the Africa Cup of Nations has grown. What started as a smaller tournament now demands the kind of infrastructure you'd expect from major international competitions. Each team getting their own base camp puts this tournament on par with the World Cup in terms of logistics and player comfort.
For the teams, this means better preparation time and fewer disruptions. Players can focus entirely on their game without worrying about running into rival teams in hotel lobbies or having to share training schedules with competitors.
