Gaza Receives 195-Ton Relief Convoy in 'Gallant Knight 3' Operation
The UAE delivered its 249th humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza today, carrying over 195 tons of emergency shelter supplies as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3. The convoy transported 2,250 tents across 15 trucks, responding to urgent needs as Palestinians face harsh winter conditions and heavy rainfall that have worsened living conditions for displaced families.
This latest shipment comes through the UAE's logistical center in Egypt's Al-Arish, where teams work around the clock to receive, store, and prepare aid shipments for Gaza. The operation has become a lifeline for Palestinians struggling with basic shelter needs amid ongoing displacement.
Fahad Saleh Al-Harthi, who heads the UAE humanitarian aid team in Al-Arish, said the convoy represents part of continuous support efforts under the Gallant Knight 3 initiative. He emphasized that regular aid deliveries aim to meet growing humanitarian needs in the territory, especially as winter weather has made conditions worse for residents.
The timing matters. Cold weather and rain have hit Gaza hard in recent weeks, creating desperate demand for proper shelter among families living in temporary conditions. Many displaced Palestinians lack adequate protection from the elements, making these tents critical for basic survival.
Al-Harthi explained that work teams at the Al-Arish logistics center maintain operations 24/7 to ensure smooth aid delivery through an integrated system covering reception, storage, preparation, and shipment management. Keeping convoys running regularly remains a top priority to maintain steady humanitarian support flow to Gaza residents when they need all forms of assistance.
Since Operation Gallant Knight 3 began, the UAE has provided more than 20,000 shelter tents to affected families through both land and sea bridges. The initiative has also sent continuous convoys of food, medical supplies, and various relief materials, reflecting the UAE's consistent humanitarian approach in supporting those in need.
The operation shows how Gulf states are stepping up humanitarian efforts in Gaza through practical logistics and sustained aid delivery. For aid organizations and international observers, the UAE's systematic approach demonstrates how effective humanitarian corridors can function even in complex situations, potentially serving as a model for other crisis responses.
