Emirati Women Entrepreneurs Delegation Concludes Successful Beijing Visit
A delegation of Emirati businesswomen just wrapped up their visit to Beijing, focused on building skills and expanding their reach in global markets. The trip was part of a broader initiative to connect UAE female entrepreneurs with international business environments and successful practices.
The visit happened through the "Emirati Businesswomen: Exploring China's Business Environment" program. This falls under the "Emirati Businesswomen Councils in Friendly Countries" initiative, launched by the General Women's Union under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the "Mother of the Emirates."
During their time in Beijing, the delegation met with the Women's Venture Capital Alliance. The businesswomen learned about the latest funding methods and support strategies specifically designed for women-led projects. They also got to see innovative startup models in digital technology.
The program included visits to major companies like ByteDance and JD Group. Participants heard presentations about cutting-edge digital innovations and smart commerce tools. The schedule also featured discussion sessions on developing small and medium enterprises and boosting digital transformation for women-owned businesses.
For the UAE's economy, this kind of knowledge transfer matters. The country has been working to diversify away from oil dependence, and supporting female entrepreneurs is part of that strategy. Women-owned businesses in the UAE have been growing, but accessing global markets and advanced digital tools remains a challenge for many.
The delegation emphasized that the visit helped transfer practical expertise and successful experiences. It opened doors for Emirati businesswomen to apply best practices in their own ventures, which should help UAE products and services compete better in international markets.
China represents a significant opportunity for UAE businesses. The two countries have strong trade ties, and China's advanced e-commerce and digital payment systems offer lessons that could benefit Emirati entrepreneurs looking to scale their operations.
