Emirati Pavilion at Expo Osaka Surpasses 4 Million Visitors, Captivating Global Audience
The UAE pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has crossed four million visitors, making it one of the most popular national pavilions at the international exhibition. This milestone comes just days after the pavilion celebrated UAE National Day with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan leading a high-level delegation alongside Japanese officials and expo leadership.
To mark the four million visitor milestone, the pavilion organized a special event where visitors helped color a massive mural on the building's facade. As people painted, the number 4,000,000 gradually appeared. The finished artwork became a collective creation symbolizing connection and shared celebration, carrying the fingerprints of thousands who contributed to this achievement.
"Reaching four million visitors shows the deep impact this pavilion has made," said Shehab Al Fahim, UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE pavilion. "It has become a gathering space where people experience Emirati hospitality, interact with our young ambassadors, and become part of the UAE story we're telling the world."
The pavilion opened in April 2025 under the theme "From Earth to Ether." It offers visitors a multi-sensory journey through five main zones, each highlighting different aspects of UAE achievements. The experience covers space exploration, healthcare innovation, sustainability, environmental leadership, and cultural heritage. This creates a complete experience that connects with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
The building's design draws inspiration from palm trees and features 90 columns made from more than two million pieces of palm fronds. This artistic approach demonstrates natural material reuse and cross-cultural cooperation. The pavilion was designed by the "From Earth to Ether Design Group," a coalition including partners from the UAE, Japan, and other countries worldwide.
The design and storytelling have earned widespread praise for their innovative architectural vision. But it's the visitor engagement that really stands out. The pavilion has become more than just an exhibition space - it's turned into a cultural bridge where people from different countries connect with UAE's past, present, and future ambitions.
With Expo 2025 Osaka running until October 13, the UAE pavilion continues to shine as one of the exhibition's top attractions. The four million visitor mark puts it among the most successful national pavilions, reflecting both the quality of the experience and global interest in the UAE's story of innovation rooted in cultural tradition.
