Emirati Aid Convoy Crosses into Gaza, Providing Vital Assistance to Residents
The UAE sent another aid convoy to Gaza this week, including 22 water tankers and 5 ambulances through the Rafah crossing. This delivery is part of "Operation Gallant Knight 3," the Emirates' ongoing humanitarian mission that has now delivered over 90,000 tons of aid to Palestinians since it began.
The convoy passed through Rafah before reaching the Kerem Shalom crossing. UAE officials say they plan to send more than 20 additional ambulances in the coming weeks, along with food, medical supplies, and shelter materials.
About a month ago, the operation opened a new desalinated water pipeline running from Egypt's Rafah to Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The pipeline delivers 2 million gallons daily, serving roughly one million Palestinians in the strip.
The UAE has been moving supplies through multiple routes - by land, sea, and air. Officials say the aid helps ease conditions for Gaza's most vulnerable residents and provides basic necessities during the ongoing crisis.
This marks the third phase of the UAE's "Gallant Knight" operations. The Emirates has positioned itself as one of the main providers of humanitarian assistance to Gaza, focusing particularly on water infrastructure and medical support. The water pipeline represents one of the larger infrastructure projects aimed at addressing Gaza's chronic water shortage.
