Dubai Ruler Prioritizes Security, Safety, and Quality of Life for Citizens, Residents, and Visitors
Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has directed Dubai Police to become the world's best police force in using artificial intelligence and technology. The ambitious goal aims to deliver top-quality services to residents and visitors while meeting international standards.
During a meeting to review Dubai Police's digital projects and initiatives, Sheikh Hamdan outlined his vision for the force's future. He announced the directive via his official X account, emphasizing that Dubai Police should lead globally in deploying AI and technology for community services.
The Crown Prince also called for expanded specialized training programs focused on future technologies. These programs will help build what he described as the best security system of its kind, powered by dedicated Emirati nationals.
This move fits Dubai's broader strategy to position itself as a global tech hub. The emirate has been investing heavily in smart city initiatives, from AI-powered government services to autonomous transportation systems. Dubai Police already operates some cutting-edge technology, including robotic officers and AI-powered crime prediction systems.
For the security technology sector, this directive signals significant opportunities. Companies specializing in AI-powered surveillance, predictive policing software, and smart city solutions could see increased demand as Dubai Police works to meet these ambitious targets.
The initiative also reflects the UAE's national AI strategy, which aims to make the country a global leader in artificial intelligence by 2031. By focusing on practical applications in law enforcement, Dubai is creating a real-world testing ground for technologies that could later be exported globally.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that providing the highest levels of security, safety, and quality of life for citizens, residents, and visitors remains the top priority. This focus, he noted, will help secure Dubai's future leadership position in the region and beyond.
