Dubai Police Explores Strengthened Security Cooperation with Russian Interior Ministry
Dubai Police is strengthening security cooperation with Russia's Interior Ministry through high-level meetings focused on sharing expertise and best practices in law enforcement. The partnership comes as both countries look to enhance their capabilities in areas like major event security, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence applications in policing.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police, led an official delegation to Russia where they met with senior officials including Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov and General Oleg Anatolievich Baranov, head of the main department at Russia's Interior Ministry.
The discussions centered on practical cooperation in public safety and security. Both sides explored ways to exchange knowledge and successful experiences in police work, with Dubai Police emphasizing its commitment to international partnerships that improve service quality and operational performance.
Russian officials presented their approaches to operational security and major event protection, highlighting their digital transformation initiatives and AI applications in law enforcement. They also outlined future cooperation opportunities aimed at developing security and administrative capabilities.
For Dubai, this partnership fits into a broader strategy of learning from global security practices. The emirate regularly hosts major international events and has been investing heavily in smart policing technologies. Russia's experience with large-scale security operations and digital policing tools offers valuable insights for Dubai's ongoing modernization efforts.
The delegation also met with UAE Ambassador to Russia Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Issa Al Jaber during their visit, who received a commemorative shield marking the occasion.
This cooperation reflects how police forces worldwide are increasingly sharing expertise to address common security challenges, particularly in areas where technology and traditional policing methods intersect.
