Dubai Hosts Landmark Middle East & Africa Veterinary Conference
Dubai hosted the second Middle East and Africa Veterinary Conference (MEAVC) from October 17-19, 2025, drawing thousands of veterinary professionals to the Jafza One Conference Center. The event marked a major milestone by becoming the first veterinary conference in the Middle East to receive international accreditation for continuing professional development from prestigious global organizations.
The conference gained official recognition from three major international bodies: the American Registry for Continuing Education (RACE), Germany's Academy for Veterinary Continuing Education (ATF), and Europe's Veterinary Continuing Education Europe (VetCEE). This means participants received internationally certified credentials that meet global standards and enhance their professional practice.
"Our return to Dubai for the second conference represents an extension of the remarkable success achieved in our first launch in 2022," said Dr. Margit Gabriela Muller, president of the 2025 Middle East and Africa Veterinary Conference. She emphasized that the event goes beyond being just a scientific gathering – it's designed to advance veterinary practices across the Middle East and Africa.
The conference brought together leading minds, global innovations, and accredited education to help veterinarians deliver advanced care that shapes the future of animal health. In a rapidly changing world, the organizers are committed to keeping Dubai and the Middle East as a leading global center for veterinary education.
This year's program featured over 42 international speakers delivering specialized lectures covering the latest topics across various veterinary medicine fields. The hands-on component included five practical workshops and six wet labs providing direct clinical training. Participants could choose from 64 advanced training sessions and more than 100 scientific lectures focusing on companion animals and exotic species.
Six industry sessions were led by major global companies specializing in veterinary pharmaceuticals, nutrition, and equipment. This gave attendees direct access to cutting-edge developments from industry leaders.
The conference included a specialized exhibition showcasing the latest veterinary technologies, products, and services from major global companies and manufacturers. This exhibition served as a key platform for networking between veterinarians, decision-makers, and regional distributors. It provided important opportunities to strengthen strategic partnerships and explore growing trends in the veterinary sector.
The event's success demonstrates Dubai's growing role as a regional hub for veterinary education and professional development. By bringing international accreditation to the Middle East for the first time, the conference helps bridge the gap between regional practitioners and global standards. This matters for animal health outcomes across a region where veterinary medicine continues to develop rapidly.
