Discover the Global Gathering: 'WETEX' Debuts in Dubai with 3,100 Exhibitors from 68 Countries
The 27th Water, Energy and Environment Technology Exhibition (WETEX) kicked off in Dubai with 3,100 exhibitors from 68 countries. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is hosting the event from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at Dubai World Trade Centre. This positions Dubai as a major hub for clean energy and sustainability discussions in the Middle East.
WETEX has become one of the world's largest specialized exhibitions in its field. The event covers renewable energy, water technology, green development, sustainability, decarbonization, green mobility, green hydrogen, sustainable cities, green buildings, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The exhibition spans 95,000 square meters and includes 18 international pavilions from around the world.
This year's edition features dedicated zones for green mobility and health and safety. There's also a special delegation area designed to boost networking between local and international companies and major government entities from the UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The business side looks strong. The exhibition includes extensive B2B meetings between companies and institutions, plus B2G sessions connecting businesses with government bodies. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is organizing more than 135 specialized seminars and discussion sessions with experts from around the world.
Exhibitors can also visit the authority's Sustainability and Innovation Centre, located within the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. This gives participants a firsthand look at large-scale renewable energy projects in action.
The timing matters for the region's energy transition plans. Gulf states are investing heavily in renewable energy and green technology as they work to diversify their economies away from oil dependence. Events like WETEX serve as important platforms for announcing new projects and forming partnerships in the clean energy sector.
