Ajman Ruler Leads Funeral Prayers for Sheikha Hassa Obaid Mohammed Miftah Al Shamsi
Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, led funeral prayers today for Sheikha Hassa Obaid Mohammed Miftah Al Shamsi, wife of Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Deputy Ruler of Ajman, who passed away earlier today. The ceremony at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ajman brought together senior members of the ruling family and government officials to pay their final respects.
The funeral prayer took place after Maghrib prayer and was attended by Crown Prince Sheikh Ammar bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, who also chairs Ajman's Executive Council. Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the deceased's husband and Deputy Ruler of Ajman, joined the prayers alongside his family members.
Several prominent Al Nuaimi family members participated in the ceremony, including Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, who represents the Ruler for administrative and financial affairs, and Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, who heads the Tourism Development Department. Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department, was also present.
The gathering included other senior officials such as Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Hamid Al Nuaimi, who leads Ajman Digital Department, and Dr. Sheikh Majed bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Amiri Diwan. Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Ajman Police Commander General, attended alongside Sheikh Abdullah bin Majed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Citizens Affairs Office.
The Ruler of Ajman and Crown Prince Sheikh Ammar offered their condolences to Sheikh Nasser and his family during this difficult time. They prayed for God's mercy upon the deceased and asked for patience and comfort for her loved ones. Citizens and residents also joined the funeral prayers to show their support for the grieving family.
Sheikha Hassa's passing represents a significant loss for the Al Nuaimi ruling family, which has governed Ajman since the emirate's establishment. The strong turnout at her funeral prayers reflects the respect she commanded within the community and the close bonds that characterize the UAE's traditional leadership structure.
